About our group

Our group provides analytical services for researches at the institute. Combination of techniques of elemental analysis (determination of CHN, X-ray fluorescence spectroscopy, inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometry [ICP-OES] possibly coupled to electrothermal vaporization of the sample [ETV-ICP-OES], fluoride ion selective electrode and classical titration methods) with molecular spectroscopy methods (infrared spectroscopy, Raman spectroscopy, circular dichroism and linear dichroism spectroscopy) our department provides fundamantal support allowing a complete elemental analysis and elucidation of the structure of various compounds both synthetic and/or isolated from natural matrices. Using these techniques, we participate in structural and conformation assignment of studied molecules and/or in the studies of chemical processes. Furthermore, measurement of thermal properties of the compounds using differential scanning calorimetry [DSC] and determination of their solubility improves the characterization of these substances.
